I'm so sorry I haven't kept up with my advent thing. Much like the real deal, I forget about it and over indulge on Christmas day! I will end it with one more. This two carols are really special to me. Today has been a really tough day. I've been struggling with my best friends being so far away and missing having that security blanket. The world of mummy friends is harder to break into if you don't already have your girlies. I'm the only one of them to have a child which makes E really pampered but on a day to day basis, I don't really fit in with the mums I see daily. The mums I'm closest too are sadly too far away & mostly virtual ( britmums, twitter, facebook) Anyways I had a tough time today at Costa trying to wee/have lunch/ feed Ethan and it would have been lovely if I went with another pair of hands. So by the time my hubby got home I was feeling rather low. He made me a cuppa & warmed me a mincepie. Thanks hun.
Then I had the best bedtime with E. Usually, he is eager to sleep after DH gives him his bath and usually demands his feed. But tonight like he knew mummy needed a pick me up he didnt fall asleep instantly. He was stroking my face during the feed and looked like he needed a song or two. I sang Silent Night & O Holy Night to him and my baby fell asleep.
I felt better after that.
Needed.
Yes that's the word. I'm going to treasure that moment forever.
So without further ado enjoy and hug your babies for me coz they are amazing!
Silent Night
O Holy Night
