Last Night...

I had to give up my job. I'm still grieving in a way. I would've given it up in a few months once my work load from our family business got too much to juggle. However having to give it up before I wanted to is making me feel sad.

Me?! causing mischief I think not!
I had to give it up because it suddenly became apparent that for E to be at work with me like has been since August, they needed liability insurance. My Client figured that me signing a clause in my contract saying E's well being was my responsibility would cut it, so did I. However the red-tape folks disagreed. My client's budget isn't big enough to afford it and neither is my meagre salary. So I had to say good bye.

I have really enjoyed being able to take my baby to work, he has learnt so much about the daily routines of other people he met on the buses and at the places we went. DH & I are committed to the vision we have for our family, it won't be easy achieving it but I pray that we will.

Now that I don't have to wake up at stupid o'Clock, I can think of how our day will be shaped in regards to beginning my role in our company in earnest . Any mummies or daddies who have successfully worked from home with active toddlers, I want to hear from you. Tips and strategies, I want them.

A new year, A new beginning.

Make the most of naptimes and bedtime. My kids are very active during the day. So, I try to get as much work done when they're sleeping as I can. Also, I make sure that when I'm working during the day that I take breaks to play with them, eat lunch together and listen to what they have to say. Good luck.

I do a lot of baby wearing.
I don't actually work but I do a lot of sewing to save us money, and I wear my toddler often while doing parts of sewing. Also work on having play time every half hour or sew and really utalize naps/bed time. I'd rather sleep on the floor in the morning while he is safely confined in a baby proof room with me playing, and utelize bed time for sewing.
Also take advantage of grand parents, set up a once a week or twice a week grandma time so you can get plenty of work done. Either at your house or park time etc.
Good luck with the new job and more time at home!!

Oh how disappointing. I hope you and your babe have fun making your own
routine. He looks so cute in that picture!
